Former Black Stars coach Avram Grant has called on the Ghana Football Association to appoint an expatriate coach as his successor.

The GFA are on the verge of appointing a new coach for the team following the Israeli trainer's departure after the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

With some clamouring for an appointment of a local coach others are of the view that the job should be given to an expatriate.

“They (Black Stars) need help from outsiders, but I think there are some people in the country who can also take up the job,” Avram Grant told the BBC.
