Former Ghana goalie Fatau Dauda commends Medeama and Dreams FC after historic feat in Africa club competitions

Former Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has congratulated Medeama SC and Dreams FC following their remarkable qualification to the group stages of the CAF Inter-club competitions.

Medeama SC's historic journey to the CAF Champions League group stage was sealed with an impressive victory over Guinean giants AC Horoya.

Despite losing the second leg 2-1 to Horoya in Conakry, the Muave and Yellow advanced with a 4-3 aggregate win over both legs.

Dreams FC on the other side sealed qualification to the group stage in their maiden campaign after edging out Sierra Leone outfit Kallon FC with a 3-2 aggregate win in both legs.

“I will commend both Medeama and Dreams FC for group stage qualification in Champions League and in the Confederations Cup. for so many years, our clubs have struggled to make it to the group stage but this time, we’ve got Medeama and Dreams FC in the group stage”

“It is possible for us to win back our slots if clubs continue to perform like Medeama and Dreams FC in Africa. It’s all about time, trust me, our football will rise again because there's being some changes” he said.

Both Medeama and Dreams FC will know their group opponents on Friday, October 6, 2023.
