Former Great Olympics coach Price George Koffie has urged Charles Kwablan Akonnor to succeed as head coach of the Black Stars.
The 46-year-old was appointed as coach of the senior national team in January, replacing his former boss Kwesi Appiah following the dissolution of the technical teams of the national teams.
As part of his mandate, coach CK Akonnor has been tasked to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Cameroon.
However, coach Prince Koffie has thrown his support behind CK Akonnor and has backed him to stay focus.
"I throw my support behind CK Akonnor to succeed at his new job. I can’t state categorically that he will but anything is possible under the sun depending on the seriousness attached towards it", Prince Kofie told 442gh.com.
Coach CK Akonnor's first game in charge of the team in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan was called off due to coronavirus pandemic.
He made 41 appearances and scored 12 goals for Ghana before starting his coaching career at Sekondi Eleven Wise.
He has since managed Dreams FC, Hearts of Oak, Ashanti Gold SC and Asante Kotoko.
