Maxwell Abbey Quaye, a former star striker for Great Olympics, has returned to Ghana after negotiations with Serbian club FK Loznica fell through.

Although Abbey Quaye had traveled to Scandinavia to negotiate with FK Loznica, the deal did not materialize, leaving the player to consider other options.

Abbey Quaye had started training with FK Loznica, and the club even announced his arrival on their official social media channels.

However, he was unable to sign a contract, and it seems that the deal was scuppered by the unexpected departure of the club president, who was overseeing his transfer.

Despite this setback, Abbey Quaye is eager to continue his career and has already begun talks with several local clubs. Sources suggest that Great Olympics are one of the frontrunners for his signature, with the club keen to bring back their former star striker.

During his time with Great Olympics, Abbey Quaye established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in the Ghana Premier League.

In 61 league appearances, he scored 23 goals and provided two assists. However, he was inactive for much of last season after his contract with the Dade Boys expired.
