Former Kotoko chief Opoku Nti calls for reinforcement in club’s attack

Former Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Opoku Nti has urged the club to bolster squad with the signing of clinical strikers in the ongoing transfer window.

The Porcupine Warriors are currently sixth on the Ghana Premier League table with 26 points after shaking off a difficult start to the campaign.

Speaking to Kessben FM, Opoku Nti asserted the team has enough quality in all departments but will need some reinforcement up front.

“I don’t think we need too many players but we need a clinical striker who can score one out of two chances. If Kotoko can get two of such strikers, it will help but as for the other departments, we have more players.” He said.

Meanwhile, Bechem United winger Augustine Okrah has been linked with a move to the Porcupine Warriors. He has been the club’s main man following his return from an unsuccessful spell in Tanzania with Simba SC.

Okrah has nine goals in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

Kotoko are away to Bofoakwa Tano for their final game of the first round of the season.
