Former Kotoko midfielder Michael Akuffo signs for King Faisal ahead of new GPL season

Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Akuffo has completed a transfer to reinstated Ghana Premier League side, King Faisal, ahead of the start of the new season.

The hardworking midfielder has joined the Kumasi-based side on a one-year deal to help them with his experience as they seek to retain their premiership at the end of the campaign.

The 32-year old spent 6 years with the Porcupine Warriors in the past where he established a name for himself.

Besides his stint with the record league champions, Akuffo has also played for teams such as Asec Mimosa, FC PoPa in Finland and Lebanese side Al Ansar in the past.

With King Faisal set to open their campaign in the 2019/2020 season against Dreams FC, Michael Akuffo will possibly be handed some minutes in that game.
