The Porcupine Warriors were held to a goalless draw by Lions in an entertaining game at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

Manu, who casted doubts about the readiness of the team before the commencement of the season, has made a U-turn to heap praise on the team following an improved performance in their first game of the season.

“It wasn’t a bad game. Comparing Kotoko’s performance against Nsoatreman during preseason as against Lions, you could there have been changes in their play from defense, midfield and to attack. They are able to possess the game well but they only lack some firepower upfront”

“I have already asked the fans to lower their expectations for the team this season. The fans shouldn’t always expect win because the coach is now building the team. there are many young players in the team and will need time to adapt to the system, so the fans should have patience for the team”

Asante Kotoko will travel to face Bibiani Goldstars in the week 2 fixture of the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.
