Former Medeama forward Jonathan Sowah scores four goals to help Al Nasr hammer Al Hilal in Libya

Former Medeama forward Jonathan Sowah delivered an outstanding performance to help Al Nasr Benghazi triumph over Al Hilal Benghazi in the Libyan Premier League at the weekend.

The Ghana international produced a masterful performance after scoring four goals to lead his outfit to a resounding 6-3 win over Al Hilal at the Martrys of Benina Stadium in Benghazi.

Sowah converted two penalty kicks in the game before adding two strikes in the week 17 fixture.

The former Ghana Premier League forward completed a hat-trick before the halftime break in the much-anticipated clash.

The 25-year-old opened the scoring after just three minutes before adding the second goal three minutes later, netting all goals from the spot.

Before the halftime break, the energetic forward found the back of the net again to seal a 3-0 lead in the first half for Al Nasr.

The home team continued their dominance after recess as Libya international Mohammed Eshtewi grabbed the fourth goal of the match in the 61st minute mark.

Sowah was on the scoresheet again in the 72nd minute before Mohamed Ali Jouini cemented the victory in injury time.

The visitors managed to pull three goals back through Ezzeddine Maryami, who scored all goals from the spot.

Sowah has now scored five goals and provided an assist in 7 appearances for Al-Nasr since joining from Medeama in January.

Per reports in the Ghanaian media, Sowah has been invited for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and Central Africa Republic next month.
