Ghana and Nigeria went head-to-head with the Super Eagles emerging victorious with a 2-1 win in a friendly match held in Marrakech, Morocco last month.

Ademola Lookman and Cyriel Dessers scored for Nigeria, while Jordan Ayew netted the consolation goal for Ghana's Black Stars. Ghanaian defender Jerome Opoku was sent off in the 56th minute.

After the game, Ghana's goalkeeper trainer, Fatau Dauda, took to X to share a heartfelt message for one of Nigeria's key players, Stanley Nwabali, also known as "BoBo." The two had previously shared a locker room while playing for Enyimba International Football Club in Aba, Nigeria in 2019.

Dauda made 40 appearances in the Nigerian top flight for Enyimba.

Dauda tweeted, "We used to share the same locker room in Aba Nigeria 🇳🇬 2019, with the most successful club in Nigeria (Enyimba International football club) “The people’s Elephant “ @EnyimbaFC. Keep on being a listener as always 🤝 Stanley Nwabali aka “BoBo” stay focus and keep pushing, I wish you all the best in your career."

Nwabali played a crucial role in Nigeria's team at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
