Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC have announced the acquisition of striker Joseph Esso after ending his spell in Algeria.

Esso, who was transferred to the Algerian top-flight side in March 2021 from Dreams FC is back and is expected to feature in the Ghanaian top-flight.

The former Hearts of Oak star made an immediate impact after joining MC Alger, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists in 18 games in the second half of the 2020-21 campaign.

In the second season, Esso managed to score three times and delivered one assist in 33 matches in the Algerian Ligue 1.

But Esso things did not go as expected in subsequent seasons and had to part ways with the Algerian club in August 2023.

After parting ways with the Algerian club, Esso has made a sensational return to Dreams FC and is expected to inspire the Still Believe lads in the league and Confederations Cup at large.

“The Dreams FC is delighted to announce the signing of striker Joseph Esso. Esso makes a sensational return for a second stint with the club having last played for Algerian club MC Algiers” the club wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Esso scored 11 goals on his first stint with the club in the 2020/2021 season.
