Franck Mbella Etouga settles on penalty against Hearts of Oak as his best goal of the season

Asante Kotoko striker Franck Etouga Mbella has named his spot-kick against archrivals, Hearts of Oak, at the Baba Yara Stadium as his best goal of the season.

The Cameroonian stepped up to score the penalty in the 16th minute in the crunch encounter after Abdul Aziz Nurudeen was alleged to have tripped Fabio Gama inside the box.

Despite missing three games from the start of the season, Etouga has netted 21 times for the Porcupine Warriors in his maiden campaign for the club.

According to him, his strike against the defending champions is his best goal of the season.

“The goal I scored against Hearts of Oak in Kumasi is my best goal of the season," the 24-year-old told his club’s website.

The talented forward is also inline to win the Ghana Premier League player of the year award.

Etouga joined the Reds on a three-year deal from A.S Fortune in the Cameroonian top-flight.
