Free-agent John Boye making his signing difficult with demand for 3-year contract

Ghana international, John Boye is making his signing by clubs very difficult as he continues to demand a three-year contract.

The 34-year-old at the end of the 2020/2021 football season saw his contract with French Ligue 1 outfit FC Metz come to a close.

Although the club wanted to offer him a contract extension, John Boye resorted to leaving for a different challenge.

Currently a free agent, sources have told footballghana.com that the defender is finding it difficult to get a new club.

Checks reveal that this is due to the constant demand of the player to be given a three-year deal.

At first French Ligue, 1 side Lens was interested but as a result of the demands, the club has seemingly lost interest.

It is unclear if John Boye and his representatives will reconsider their stance or not. What is clear is that if they don’t, Boye could still be at home when the summer transfer window shuts.
