French-born Ghanaian Grejohn Kyei delivers assist in Clermont Foot’s big win over Stade Reims

French-born Ghanaian striker Grejohn Kyei delivered an outstanding performance to help Clermont Foot defeat Stade Reims in the French Ligue 1.

The 28-year-old was handed a starting role as his outfit cruised to a resounding 4-1 win on home turf on Sunday.

Putting on a stellar performance, Kyei provided an assists to help his side wallop Reims at the Stade Gabriel-Montpied.

The home team opened the scoring in the 31st minute mark through Muhammed-Cham Saracevic after converting from the spot but Reims responded quickly with an equalizer through Keito Nakamura in the 33rd minute.

Both teams went to the halftime break with a goal apiece in the crucial game.

But Clermont Foot proved their worth to snatch victory to merit the three maximum points at stake.

Putting on stellar performance, Muhammed-Cham Saracevic scored again from the spot to put his side into the lead in the 56th minute.

Kosovo international Elbasan Rashan netted twice in the crucial game to snatch an all important victory for the host.

Elbasan fired home his outfit third goal in the 79th minute after he was set up by the Ghanaian international before scoring in stoppage time to cement victory.

The 28-year-old Ghanaian forward has scored two goals and provided an assist in 23 games in the French Ligue 1.
