George Amoako confirms George Abege and Didi Arnold will leave Kotoko soon

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, George Amoako has stressed that George Abege and Alexis Didi Arnold will be leaving the club very soon.

The two players were signed by the Porcupine Warriors last year to give the Reds a squad boost ahead of their campaign in the CAF Champions League and the Confederations Cup.

Having failed to make the expected impact, Kotoko has decided to let go of George Abege and Didi Arnold. While they are ready to pay 3 months salary as compensation, the pair is asking for 6 months instead.

That has become an impediment to the situation as the club continues with agents of the players to find common ground.

Explaining the matter on Angel FM, Kotoko CEO George Amoako has revealed that the compensation issue has been resolved now. In line with that, the players will leave the club in the next couple of weeks.

“We have explained to them that they have not been up to the Kotoko demands. They have accepted it. The only problem was how to see them off. Meanwhile, we have a clause in our contract with them which specifically says that if your performance is found to be not good enough we have the power to terminate your contract and it was read to them and they know”, George Amoako said.

“The only issue with them is how much to pay to them as compensation for them to go…It has been resolved and we will see them off in the next couple of days”, he added.
