German-Ghanaian defender Christopher Braun joins FC Rapid București

German-born Ghanaian defender Christopher Braun has joined Romanian club FC Rapid București. 

Braun began his career in the juniors of Hamburg SV and St. Pauli before moving on to St. Pauli II, Wilhelmshaven, Vfb Oldenburg, SG Wattenscheid, Fortuna Sittard, OFI Crete, FC Botoşani, and CFR Cluj.

Rapid's new right-back appeared in 44 games for Cluj last season, scoring a solitary goal, even against Rapid, in a 3-1 victory against Giulești.

He appeared in 30 Superliga matches with CFR, one Supercup match, four Romanian Cup matches, and nine UEFA Conference League matches.

Braun is expected to strengthen FC Rapid București's back four in the Romanian top flight.

Braun is still in Germany and will join the Adrian Mutu-trained group on June 14, when the Rapids will congregate at the Mobexpert Constructor Base.
