Germany-born Ghanaian defender Gideon Jung delivered an impressive performance for Greuther Furth on Sunday, setting the stage for a promising start to the season.

The 29-year-old Ghanaian marksman lasted the entire duration as his outfit cruised to a 3-1 win over Preussen Münster in the German Bundesliga 2 opener.

The enterprising defender scored one of his sides’ goals as they beat their opponent on home turf to begin the campaign in style.

Greuther Furth opened the scoring in the 25th minute mark through Julian Green before Malik Batmaz pulled parity for the visitors, four minutes to the halftime break.
