Get the job done in Kumasi – GFA’s Frederick Acheampong tells Dreams FC ahead of Stade Malien clash

Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association Frederick Acheampong has advised Dreams FC to put aside their first leg triumph over Stade Malien in the CAF Confederations Cup quarterfinals.

The Ghana FA Cup champions secured a massive 2-1 away win over the Malian giants on Sunday and will head into the second leg with the advantage.

The Still Believe lads will host Stade Malien at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, April 7, 2024, and it presents Dreams FC with a significant advantage as they aim to progress further in the competition.

Acheampong, who served as the leader of delegation for Dreams in the first tie in Mali has urged the team not to be complacent after securing victory in the first leg.

He has therefore urged the Ghana Premier League side to focus in order to eliminate their opponent to book a semifinals spot.

“You must get the job done in Kumasi, put this scoreline somewhere as if you are starting from 0-0. You must qualify and create history” he told the players after triumphing over Stade Malien.

Stade Malien are expected to arrive in Ghana on Saturday with a chattered flight ahead of the crucial return leg clash.
