Kurt E.S Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has admitted that the body made a mistake during the announcement of the partnership agreement with Macron.

After successful negations, last month, the Ghana FA in announcing an agreement that will see it being supplied with Macron branded match balls said: “GFA enters partnership with Macron as Official Match Ball sponsor.''

With several questions raised after the Macron company failed to announce the deal with GFA on any of its platforms, the GFA president has admitted to the error in the communique from his body as he explains.

“The product to be supplied by the football dealer or the dealer is Macron products.

“I am sure in the communications that we said Macron but that doesn't negate the good work that has been done that we have an official match ball supplier and Macron will be the brand (balls) that will be played across the country in the new season”, the GFA capo told Max FM.

He added, “For me, the positives outweigh how somebody wants to interpret it”.

The GFA has signed a three-year deal worth with GH¢1.6m with a supplier and will be receiving 5,000 balls and 1,500 pieces of bibs every season for the Ghana Premier League, MTN FA Cup, and the National Division One League.
