Ghana captain Elizabeth Addo excited to be nominated for Africa Women’s player award

Black Queens captain Elizabeth Addo says she is honoured by CAF’s decision to nominate her for the 2016 CAF Women’s Player Award.

The 23 year old midfielder was named among four others for the Award which will be announce in next month’s GLO CAF Awards in Nigeria.

Addo who plays for club side Kvarnsvedensik, will have to battle it out with Nigerian superstar Asisat Oshoala, Cameroonian duo Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene and Raissa Feudjio Tchuanyo as well as South African captain Janine VAN WYK for the ultimate. The inspirational captain who scored three goals to help the Black Queens win bronze at the just ended Africa Women’s Nations Cup, took to twitter to reveal how honoured she was after her nomination.
