Ghana champions Medeama have rejected the possibility of selling in-form striker Jonathan Sowah in the upcoming transfer window.

Sowah was a standout performer when the Yellow and Mauves annexed their first Ghana Premier League, bagging in couple of goals to propel the club to the league triumph last season.

His swashbuckling performance has drawn interest from several clubs in Egypt and Europe.

Speaking in an interview, Medeama Board Chairman, Dr Tony Aubynn confirmed interest from club’s whiles ruling out the possibility of transferring the player at the moment.

"Now, we do not want the player transferred to any club, but perhaps in the future, we will think about it," said Dr Aubynn to OnTime Spor.

"He represents a powerful force for the team and there is no specific price for selling him.

"There are no negotiations between Medeama and Al Ahly regarding Jonathan Sowah, and we have several clubs interested in the player, including Egyptian and European clubs."

The Black Stars forward helped Medeama to their first-ever Ghana Premier League title and has already shone in the CAF Champions League his abilities.
