Ghana international Alexander Djiku has expressed his joy after returning to action for Fenerbache in the Turkish top-flight.
The Black Stars defender was called to action on Saturday when his side locked horns with Besiktas after returning to full fitness.
Djiku played 83 minutes for his side at the Tüpraş Stadyumu, delivering an outstanding performance to help Fenerbache beat their opponent 3-1
“Happy to be back with a great win!✅💪🏽Thank you God! 🙏🏽Thank you for your support! 🟡🔵” he wrote on X.
The former Strasbourg captain last appearance for Fenerbache was on October 26 against Ludogorets during the Europa Conference League clash.
He has since missed seven games for the Turkish giants as well as the Black Stars November international break games against Madagascar and Comoros.
His return comes as a huge boost for the Black Stars as the start of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) nears.
Djiku is expected to be included in the squad for the continental showpiece to be staged in Ivory Coast next month.
Meanwhile, compatriot, Daniel Amartey lasted the entire duration in his outfit defeat against Fenerbache.
