Ghana defender Daniel Amartey set for Leicester City departure

Ghana international Daniel Amartey is expected to leave Leicester City at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old current contract with the 2016 English Premier League winners runs out in the summer.

After seven-year spell with the Foxes, Amartey is set to depart the club having been denied a new deal.

Amartey was recently criticized by Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers following the clubs exit from the FA Cup competitions after defeat to Blackburn Rovers.

This season, the Black Stars defender 23 times across all competitions for Leicester City.

Amartey joined Leicester City in January 20216 and was part of the squad that won the Premier League in the said year.

Meanwhile, reports suggest French side Marseille are interested in signing the experienced Ghana defender.
