Ghana international Daniel Amartey has shared his excitement after scoring on his Besiktas debut to propel the club to progress in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

The Black Stars defender missed out on a starting lineup when Besiktas locked horns with Albanian outfit KF Tirana on Thursday night.

At the break, the former Leicester City marksman was introduced into the game to solidify the defense of his team.

Ten minutes into his debut, the Black Stars centre-back scored with a fantastic effort to shoot Besiktas into the lead.

That goal inspired the Turkish side to score a second in the 76th minute thanks to a strike from veteran forward Vincent Aboubakar.

With the 2-0 win today, Besiktas have advanced to the next round of the playoff with a 5-1 aggregate win over KF Tirana.

"I feel good. We performed well as a team. We applied our tactic in a disciplined way. I'm new to the team, but we are a family. We must continue to support each other," he said after the game.

Besiktas will now take on Neftçi PFK in the 3rd Qualifying Round of the UEFA Conference League.
