Ghana duo Thomas Partey and Mubarak Wakaso among La Liga Stars to feature at 2019 AFCON

Ghanaian Internationals, Thomas Partey, and Mubarak Wakaso are among several Spain based players set to feature for their countries at this year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The biggest tournament on the continent will commence later this week with as many as 24 countries expected to battle for glory. Amongst the many players called up into their national teams, the La Liga has its fair share of stars who will be representing their teams.

Whiles Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey is the biggest name on that list, he is joined by other players from the top-flight division, as well as some others from the lower tier who enjoyed a fine season last term.

Other notable players include Moussa Wagué (Barcelona), Mubarak Wakaso (Alavés), Aïssa Mandi (Real Betis), Karl Toko Ekambi (Villarreal CF), Giannelli Imbula (Rayo Vallecano), Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal) and some others.
