The Ghana Football Association is set to appoint an expatriate goalkeepers’ trainer for the senior national soccer team, the Black Stars.

The West African powerhouse has struggled to make impact in recent times and in a bid to restored lost glory, the domestic football governing body has decided to ring changes to the Chris Hughton led technical team.

Hughton was appointed as a replacement for Otto Addo who resigned after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The former Brighton boss will be assisted by Didi Dramani and George Boateng who also served under Otto Addo.

According to Kumasi-based Kessben FM, the Black Stars management committee has decided to appoint an expatriate goalkeepers’ trainer to replace Richard Kingston.

The former Ghana goalkeepers served as the goalkeepers’ coach of the four-time African champions under Otto Addo’s reign.

The Black Stars management committee is set for a meeting on Thursday, March 9 and will come out with a new technical team of the Black Stars in the coming days.
