Ghana football will rise again with time – Fatau Dauda

Former Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda is undoubtedly confident Ghana football will rise again following Medeama and Dreams FC recent feat in the CAF inter club competitions.

Both Medeama and Dreams FC have secured qualification to the group stages of the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup for the first time in history after edging out Horoya AC and Kallon FC respectively.

Despite losing the second leg 2-1 to Horoya in Conakry, the Muave and Yellow advanced with a 4-3 aggregate win over both legs.

Dreams FC on the other side sealed qualification to the group stage in their maiden campaign after edging out Sierra Leone outfit Kallon FC with a 3-2 aggregate win in both legs.

The former Black Stars shot stopper who sees some changes in Ghana football has predicted it’s rise with time.

“I will commend both Medeama and Dreams FC for group stage qualification in Champions League and in the Confederations Cup. for so many years, our clubs have struggled to make it to the group stage but this time, we’ve got Medeama and Dreams FC in the group stage”

“It is possible for us to win back our slots if clubs continue to perform like Medeama and Dreams FC in Africa. It’s all about time, trust me, our football will rise again because there’s being some changes” he said.
