Ghana international Jordan Ayew is set to extend his contract with Crystal Palace, Footballghana.com can report.

The Black Stars forward current contract with the Premier League club is expected to run out at the end of this month.

But his performance has however forced officials of Crystal Palace to extend his stay at the club for another year.

Ayew played a huge role to help Crystal Palace maintain their status in the Premier League.

He rediscovered his form under Roy Hodgson who took over from Patrick Vieira after the international break in March, contributing seven goals in 38 Premier League games.

The former Marseille striker had a sloppy start to the season but found his form latter part of the campaign to help the club survived the drop.

Since joining Palace in 2019, Jordan Ayew has made 174 appearances, scoring 19 goals and providing 14 assists in the process.

Ayew is expected to join the Black Stars for the penultimate AFCON 2023 qualifier against Madagascar on June 18.
