Ghana goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott names Black Stars best friend

Ghana goalkeeper, Joseph Wollacott has named Germany-based attacker Daniel-Kofi Kyereh as his best friend in the national team.

Wollacott, 25, marked his debut for the Black Stars in October 2021 and has since become a regular for the national team of the West African country.

Speaking to Accra-based Happy FM in an interview on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, Joseph Wollacott has disclosed that he has always been given a good reception in the national team.

However, he notes that he is very close to FC St. Pauli forward Daniel-Kofi Kyereh.

“I relate with everyone but my friend is Daniel Kofi Kyereh. He is such a very good player. But everyone makes me feel welcome in the team,” Joseph Wollacott shared.

Both Joseph Wollacott and Daniel-Kofi Kyereh were part of the Black Stars squad that played at the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

They are in line to be in the Ghana squad that will be playing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament later this year.
