Former Black Stars player, Anthony Baffoe has congratulated the Black Satellites for winning gold in the men’s football tournament at the 13th African Games.

The Ghana U20 men’s national team locked horns with the Uganda U20 men’s national team on Friday night to battle for glory in the final.

In a game played at the Accra Sports Stadium, Ghana striker Jerry Afriyie equalized in injury time of the second half to seal a delightful 1-0 win for his country.

Reacting to the victory, Anthony Baffoe has heaped praise on the playing body and technical team of the Black Satellites.

“Congratulations to the Black SATELITES-well done to Coach Desmond his Technical Team and the players 🥇🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🔥🔥🔥what a fantastic atmosphere here at the Accra Sports Stadium-thank you Accra for the great support -Bravoooo Black SATELITES,” the Ghana football icon said in a post on X.

Today’s win for the Black Satellites makes it two goal medals for Ghana from the football tournament at the 13th African Games.

The Black Princesses also defeated Nigeria 2-1 on Thursday to win gold in the women’s football tournament.
