Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus’ first Premier League start ends in defeat

Ghana international Mohammed Kudus started his first Premier League game for West Ham United, unfortunately, his outfit succumbed to a narrow defeat to Everton on Sunday.

The Black Stars midfielder lasted the entire duration when his side suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Toffees at the London Stadium.

Before this game, the highly-rated Ghanaian midfielder had not started any of West Ham United’s Premier League games since switching from Dutch giants, Ajax.

On Sunday, West Ham United manager David Moyes gave the Ghana international his first start and made a good account of himself despite the defeat.

Since joining West Ham United, the Ghana international has made seven appearances in the Premier League, scoring one goal in the process.

Kudus will hope to cement his place in the West Ham United setup in subsequent games.

Meanwhile, the midfielder has expressed his disappointment following his outfit defeat whiles he turns his focus to their game against Arsenal in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

“It’s very disappointing. We want to win every game but this is done now and we focus on the next game.

“We will learn from this and focus on the next game.” he said.
