Ghana Police Service has neglected me after shooting incident - Augustine Oppong cries

Asante Kotoko die-fan Augustine Oppong has revealed that he has been neglected by the Ghana Police Service since the shooting incident that occurred at the Baba Yara stadium on match day three of the Ghana Premier League against Berekum Chelsea.

Oppong was shot by a yet to be identified Police Officer in Kumasi during Kotoko's 1-0 defeat to Berekum Chelsea.

The commercial driver was sent to the hospital after the incident and operated on, but unfortunately he lost his eye in the process.

Speaking in an interview with Happy Sports, he indicated that since the incident happened he is yet to hear from the Ghana Police Service.

"I have had no visit from the Police, or they haven’t even called or come to visit me after this incident."

“I feel sad about this. I plead with everyone to help search for the Police Officer who has caused me this damage," he said.

"I was just doing my work and see this predicament that has befallen me.

He adds, "On the day of the incident I sent some supporters to the stadium and I had to wait outside for them to finish the game and then carry them back."

"I was standing a far watching some of the fans agitating. I wasn’t even part and then the Police officer shot me.

"The Police Officer who shot me was in their big vehicle and he shot me when they were escorting the referee out of the stadium," he ended.
