Medeama SC coach Augustine Evans Adotey is keeping an eye on the CAF Champions League group stage showdown.

The group phase of the CAF elite competition will commence later this month as club’s aim to make impact.

The Yellow and Mauves has been paired in Group D against Egyptian giants Al Ahly, Algerian champions CR Belouizdad and Young Africans of Tanzania.

Speaking after his outfit 3-1 defeat to Hearts of Oak, Evans Adotey asserted the Yellow and Mauves are using the Ghana Premier League games to prepare for the Champions League group stage games.

“Let me tell you one secret, we are using the ongoing Ghana Premier League games to prepare for the CAF Champions League group stage. We have less than six weeks to begin our Africa campaign so we are using the GPL games as pre-competition” he said.

Medeama will open their CAF Champions League group stage account against Al Ahly in Cairo, Egypt on November 25, 2023.
