Ghana Premier League title race far from over – Nations FC coach Kassim Mingle

Published on: 19 April 2024

Nations FC coach Kassim Occansey Mingle believes the Ghana Premier League title race is not over yet with eight games to the end of the season.

FC Samartex are top of the league with 49 points after 26 games into the season and look like they can go on and win the title.

Currently sitting in second place on the league table with 44 points, just five points behind leaders FC Samartex, Nations FC has been making waves in their dream debut season.

Coach Mingle, alongside his assistant Johnson Smith, has been instrumental in the club's success by implementing effective tactics and strategies.

Despite narrowly missing out on a victory in their recent game against Bofoakwa Tano, Nations FC remains determined to close the gap at the top. The newly promoted side is having a dream first season in the Ghana top flight.

And their head coach believes everything is still possible and they can bridge the game and possibly win the title.

“No. They [Samartex] can’t be winners. 24 points left and you call yourself winner, no. Eight matches, 24 points. It’s not yet over, until it’s over, it’s not yet over,” Kassim Mingle told TV3.
