Ghana Premier League Week 7 Preview: AshantiGold v Ebusua Dwarfs

Published on: 31 January 2020

AshantiGold have been without a win in their last two matches and aim to get back to winning ways as they await the arrival of struggling side Ebusua Dwarfs.

AshantiGold have been on a downward spiral recently. The Miners have lost their last two games in the league, the complete opposite of their output in the first four matches where they won three and drew one.

The Obuasi based side are however in contention for the trophy . Sheriff Mambo’s side are in 5th place and possess the second best defensive record in the competition with just two goals shipped in. AshantiGold will aim to get back on winning ways as they welcome Ebusua Dwarfs to the Len Clay Sports Stadium.

Since the start of the season, Ebusua Dwarfs have lost five games, the most among the Ghanaian top flight clubs. The Mysterious Dwarfs have allowed 12 goals this season, the joint highest in the league and have only scored five in six encounters.

Ernest Thompson Quartey’s side are at the bottom of the log and will aim to slowly climb up the standings with a win against AshantiGold.

Ebusua Dwarfs have surprisingly been superior to AshantiGold on head-to-head basis, winning two and losing one in their last five meetings (2W 2D 1L).
