Ghana international Mohammed Kudus emerged as the man of the match after helping West Ham United to beat Lincoln City in the EFL Cup.

The Black Stars midfielder was in sensational form when the Hammers defeated the lower-tier club on Wednesday to progress to the next stage of the Cup competition.

Kudus lasted the entire duration as his outfit inflicted a 1-0 over their opponent, courtesy Tomas Soucek strike.

The 23-year-old beat competition from goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Soucek to win his first Man of the Match award at West Ham.

Kudus has had a positive start to life at West Ham, scoring two goal after 5 appearances.

The Ghana international is yet to start a Premier League game for the Hammers since his arrival at the club.

But he is expected to earn his first starting role in the top-flight when they host Sheffield United at the London Stadium on Saturday.
