Ghanaian international Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah scored his first goal for FC Lugano on Sunday during the team’s 2-2 draw against Basel.

The striker joined the Swiss side earlier this month to provide a squad boost for the team after displaying top form in the Swiss Challenge League in the last few years.

In his third match for FC Lugano against FC Basel in the Swiss Super League today, Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah excelled with his displays and scored in the 36th minute to shoot his team into the lead.

Unfortunately, his team could not hold on to the finish line and drew at the end of the 90 minutes.

On the matchday, Christophe Lungoyi netted the second goal for FC Lugano with goals from Arthur Cabral and Jasper van der Werff ensuring that Basel earned a point in the end.

Ghana’s Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah after opening his goal-scoring account at his new club is tipped to bang in more to help the team to a strong finish in the Swiss Super League.
