The Ghanaian joined the La Liga side from Portuguese outfit Morereinse on a four year deal following a good season in Portugal.

The 21 year old scored seven times last term in Portugal from 20 appearances. He was a key member of the Moreirense squad but the Portuguese could not keep the forward due to the offer Levante made.

"I am ready to be the forward of Levante. It is a privilege to be the second most expensive signing, so there is no added pressure," he said when he was unveiled.

"We have to know that our goal is to remain in the League but we can look further," Boateng added.

"First I have to adapt to the League and the game of my teammates, after all that I'll tell you."

"I am very well with the team, we are a close group and I have been well received."

Levante will begin their season at home to Villareal.

Emmanuel Boateng was a member of the Ghana Under-20 team that played at the World Cup in New Zealand.
