Ghana striker Inaki Williams celebrates Athletic Club’s 2-0 victory at Sevilla

Ghana international, Inaki Williams has expressed his excitement after Athletic Club’s victory over Sevilla in the Spanish La Liga.

The striker was not part of his club’s matchday squad on Thursday night when the team played against the Round 19 opponent of the 2023/24 Spanish top-flight league campaign.

In the game played at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium, Athletic Club scored in each half to secure a delightful 2-0 win at the end of the 90 minutes.

The club got the three goals through equalisers from Mikel Vesga and Aitor Parades in the 30th and 76th minutes respectively.

Although Inaki Williams is away from the team, he monitored the match.

At full-time, he was quick to share his excitement in a post on social media.

Inaki Williams, 29, missed the Sevilla game because he is travelling from Spain to Ghana today to join the Black Stars in camp.

He is part of the 27-man squad named by Ghana coach Chris Hughton for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
