Footballghana.com understands Black Meteors of Ghana players are demanding a refund of their airfare for their clash against Algeria in U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
According to reports, 12 players are yet to receive a refund of their airfares, several weeks after representing their national team at the U-23 AFCON qualifiers against the North African country.
One of the players (identity withheld), recounted how he spent an amount between the range of GH₵ 8000 and GH₵ 9000 to fund his own airfare with the hope of being refunded upon arrival.
But this wish has not been granted as the Sports Ministry remain silent on this development.
The Black Meteors sealed qualification to the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations which will be staged in Egypt by beating Algeria 1-0 on aggregate scoreline.
