Black Meteors of Ghana walloped lower tier side Star Makers 5-0 in a friendly encounter at the El Wak Stadium.

Nurudeen Abdul Aziz gave Ghana the lead  before Emmanuel Kudjoe doubled their advantage.

Hamza Nasiru and Frank Akotoko made it 4-0 before Peter Adiwoh completed the thumping  with a fine strike in the second half.

The team is presently made up of only local players who returned to camp on Monday.

The foreign based players are likely to join the squad later on this month for the U-23 Africa Cup of Nation after beating Algeria 2-1 on aggregate.

Ghana have been placed in group A together with hosts Egypt, Cameroon and Mali in a tournament which will also serve as qualifiers for Tokyo 2020.
