Ghana international Christopher Antwi-Adjei marked his return from injury in VfL Bochum’s stalemate against SC Darmstadt in the German Bundesliga.

The former Black Stars winger was handed a starting role on his return to the team as Bochum played out a 2-2 draw with Darmstadt on Sunday.

The 30-year-old Ghanaian missed a couple of games for Bochum due to persistent fitness concerns.

Antwi-Adjei delivered as outstanding performance on his return from injury and is expected to play a huge role for his side for the remainder of the season.

Bochum shot into the lead through Philipp Hofmann after 30 minutes into the game as they went to recess with the advantage at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion.

Three minutes into the second half, Philipp Hofmann fired home his second goal of the match to extend Bochum’s lead in the game.

But the visitors staged a comeback to secure an all-important draw against Bochum on Sunday afternoon.

Germany international Tim Skarke reduced the deficit in the 62nd minute mark before Oscar Vilhelmsson pulled parity in the 76th minute as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

Antwi-Adjei was replaced in the 83rd minute by Matus Bero after paying his dues for the club in the game.

The 30-year-old Ghanaian winger has made 21 appearances for Bochum this season, scoring just a goal for the club.
