In-form Ghana winger David Accam is disappointed by Coach Veljko Paunovic's failure to select him for the Major League Soccer all-star team for the preseason friendly with European Champions Real Madrid.

The Ghana has been in top form for club side Chicago fire, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists in the process.

However, his own coach Veljko Paunovic snubbed him for the all-star team.

Accam was instrumental in Fire’s 11 game unbeaten run extending from April to July when they were beaten 2-1 by New York City.

The 26 year old who was speaking to CSN Chicago expressed his disappointment but revealed he can take pride in his season so far.

“I am disappointed because I think I played really well, especially coming from your own coach, it makes it even worse."

“Personally, I know I’m doing well. I’ve scored 11 goals, seven assists this season. That is the pride I have. I’m doing well and I know I’m doing well even though I’m disappointed my coach ignored me, but I’ll still keep going.”

The Ghanaian has been linked with a move to Europe.

The MLS All Stars will play Spanish giants Real Madrid on Wednesday, August 2 at the Soldier Field, Chicago.
