Ghanaian international, Baba Mensah was on target for his IFK Mariehamn outfit on Saturday when the team suffered a 3-2 defeat to FC Haka in the Finnish Veikkausliiga.
On the matchday, the losers took the lead after just nine minutes into the first half when Eero Tamminen found the back of the net.
The lead however would not last with the hosts restoring parity 10 minutes later through a strike from Logan Rogerson.
Six minutes later, Stavros Zarokostas equalised to give FC Haka the lead for the first time in the game.
Later after recess, FC Haka took control of the game and stretched the lead in the 53rd minute thanks to a third goal from Lee Erwin who converted from the spot.
Late in the game, Ghana’s Baba Mensah scored to reduce the deficit for IFK Mariehamn.
It was however not enough to save his team from a fourth straight defeat in the Finnish Veikkausliiga.
