Ghanaian defender Habib Mohammed joins Swallows FC in South Africa

Ghana international, Habib Mohammed is set to play for South African outfit Swallows FC after sealing a move to the club.

It can be recalled that your most trusted online football portal reported that the player in January wrapped up a deal to sign a three-year contract with Dstv Premiership outfit Sekhukhune United.

While he was set to play for the club in the second round of the 2021/22 football season, Habib Mohammed has now left the club.

He had to leave Sekhukhune United after the club failed to find a spot in their squad for him.

The club’s quota for foreign players had been full but the team hoped to offload a player to make way for him.

Unfortunately, that could not materialize, forcing the team to reach a gentleman's agreement for Habib Mohammed to join Swallows FC instead.

Sources say the two clubs are on good terms and the former Asante Kotoko defender could return to Sekhukhune United in the summer.

The centre-back has moved to South Africa having last played for Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC.
