Ghanaian forward Jalal Abdulai delivered a top class performance to help IF Elfsborg to secure a crucial home win over Mjällby in the Swedish top-flight.

The 19-year-old lasted 77 minutes as his outfit cruised to a 3-1 win over their opponent at the Borås Arena on Sunday.

Jalal Abdulai found the back of the net twice for Elfsborg as he inspired his outfit to secure maximum points in the much-anticipated clash.

The host wasted no time to open the scoring after Jalal Abdulai hit the back of the net, one minute in the game. He was set up by his compatriot, Terry Yegbe.

Mjällby pulled parity in the 27th minute mark through Elliot Stroud after connecting from Viktor Gustafson pass.

The Ghanaian international found the back of the net again to restore his outfit lead before recess.

Sweden international Sebastian Holmén registered his name on the score sheet for the home team in the 51st minute mark. And with no additional goal, the host cruised to a 3-1 win over Mjällby.

Whiles Terry Yegbe lasted the entire duration for Elfsborg, his compatriot Michael Baidoo lasted 77 minutes.
