Ghana international Razak Abalora has shared his excitement after helping CS Petrocub to secure victory over his former team, FC Sheriff Tiraspol in the Moldovan top-flight.

The former Asante Kotoko shot stopper lasted the entire duration of the match as his outfit cruised to a 2-1 win on home turf on Sunday.

After the game, Abalora took to social media to express his joy after leading his side to victory over former club in Moldova.

“Important win against my former team. Happy with the win. +3 BestNeverRest” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Petrocub wasted no time to shot into the lead in the much-anticipated clash after Mihail Platica fired home the opening goal, four minutes into the game. The home team went to the halftime break with the advantage.

After recess, compatriot David Abagna found the back of the net to seal victory for his side.

Sheriff managed to pull one back through Ibrahim Akanbi, two minutes to full time.

CS Petrocub currently leads the league table, boasting 17 points from seven games, signaling a strong start to their campaign.
