Ghana international Bernard Mensah was on target for Al Tai despite suffering defeat against Al Khaleej in the Saudi Professional League on Thursday.

The former Black Stars midfielder started and lasted the entire duration in his outfit 3-1 away defeat to Al Khaleej in the week 13 clash played at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium.

Mensah, who scored in last week's thrilling draw against Al Feiha, scored from long distance to break the deadlock in the 29th minute but the host restored parity before the halftime break through Khaled Narey, who scored from the spot.

In a spirited performance, Al Khaleej cruised to victory after grabbing two more goals in the second half to merit the three points.

Portugal international Fabio Martins scored in the 61st minute to put his side in front before Mohamed Sherif sealed victory for the host after hitting the back of the net in the 73rd minute.

Mensah has netted six goals in 11 matches in the Saudi Pro League.

He joined Al Tai in the summer transfer window after ending his stay with Turkish outfit Kayserispor.
