Ghanaian midfielder Michael Agbekpornu nears transfer to Croatian club Slaven Belupo

Albania top flight side KF Egnatia are currently engaged in advanced negotiations to transfer their Ghanaian midfielder, Michael Agbekpornu, to Croatian club Slaven Belupo.

The 24-year-old player, whose contract with KF Egnatia runs until June 2025, is expected to fetch a transfer fee of at least €500,000.

The outcome of the talks over the next few days will be crucial in determining the player's future.

Agbekpornu has been a consistent presence in KF Egnatia's starting lineup since joining the club in 2021 from Ghana Premier League side Dream Football Club.

During his debut season, Agbekpornu showcased his talent in Albanian football by featuring in 24 matches in the 2021/2022 Albania Premier League.

In the recently concluded campaign, the former Dreams FC captain appeared in 26 games for KF Egnatia, scoring a solitary goal.

If all goes according to plan, Michael Agbekpornu is set to play for his third professional club after starting out at Dreams FC and joining Egnatia.
