The head coach of Ghana's Black Starlets, Laryea Kingston, says his boys are eager for the start of the 2024 U17 Cup of Nations later this month.

The Ghana U17 national team will kick off their campaign on Wednesday, May 15 against Cote d'Ivoire at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

Leveraging his extensive experience as the former Right To Dreams U-18 manager, specializing in nurturing young talents, Kingston is steadfast in his belief in Ghana's potential to excel against top competition.

This pivotal tournament also serves as the qualifier for the 2024 CAF U-17 Cup of Nations.

"You can see from the boys that they are eager; they can't wait to play their first game, especially in front of Ghanaians.

"This tournament, we have almost sought to play in that major tournament," he added.

The Black Starlets are aiming to qualify for the 2025 U17 Africa Cup of Nations after missing out on the two previous editions.
