New England Revolution have completed the signing of Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Boateng as a free agent.

Boateng has penned a two-year deal after successful negotiations.

The move reunites the 26-year-old with Bruce Arena, the coach he played under as a member of the LA Galaxy during his first stint in MLS.

Boateng made 108 appearances for the Galaxy from 2016-2019, scoring nine goals and registering 13 assists.

During his time with the Galaxy, he also played under current Revs technical director Curt Onalfo, who coached the Galaxy following Arena's departure to the US men's national team in 2017.

The Ghanaian was traded to DC United in 2019, where he made three appearances, before joining Columbus Crew SC via another trade.

Boateng made 10 regular-season and two postseason appearances during the Crew's 2020 MLS Cup-winning season.
